When I started wearing contact lenses, I was told to throw out each pair after a month and put in a new one. I started off following the rules, then I decided to try wearing each pair longer to save some cash. I also didn't always rub them with solution at night, like I should. Unfortunately, I learned my lesson the hard way when I developed a bad case of bacterial conjunctivitis. My eye became red, swollen, and it hurt. Normal light also looked too bright to even look at. I couldn't wear contacts at all again until my eye healed, which seemed like forever. I created this blog to remind other people to always listen to the instructions of their doctors when it comes to contact lens care. You only get one set of eyes, so treat them right!
